Job SummaryThe Irrigation technician will work 3 days during the week and Saturday and Sunday. This role plays a vital role in the growth and maintenance of plants within our cultivation facility. This position involves hands-on work in various aspects of plant care, ensuring optimal conditions for growth and development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of horticultural and landscaping irrigation practices and demonstrate proficiency tools and equipment used in greenhouse maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily irrigation tasks related to plant care, including watering, fertilizing, and pruning plants to promote healthy growth.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for planting, digging, and landscape maintenance.
• Assist in the irrigation process to ensure proper water distribution throughout the cultivation area.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cultivation space, including equipment storage areas.
• Monitor plant health and report any signs of disease or pest issues to management.
• Participate in landscape design projects as needed, contributing to the overall aesthetic of the facility.
• Collaborate with team members to implement best practices for cultivation, irrigation and maintenance.

Skills

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for various cultivation and landscaping tasks.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
• Experience with lawn care techniques, including mowing, edging, and fertilization.
• Ability to build and dig effectively for planting and landscape projects.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and techniques for efficient water use.
• Strong attention to detail in landscape maintenance and garden care practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
