POSITION OVERVIEW

The Flower Technician is an entry-level position within the Cultivation Department responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the flowering rooms. This role is ideal for individuals looking to begin a career in cannabis cultivation. The right candidate is dependable, a team player, willing to learn, and able to maintain a clean and organized grow environment. All new hires start at Tech 1 ($18 per hour) unless prior experience qualifies them for a Tech 2 or Tech 3 role at higher pay.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to work on time and maintain consistent, reliable attendance 

• Perform de-leafing (lollipopping/defoliation) of cannabis plants as directed 

• Inspect, repair, and maintain trellis/canopy netting to ensure proper plant support 

• Clean and sanitize grow rooms, equipment, tools, and common areas in accordance with facility SOPs 

• Assist the team with moving and transporting supplies, equipment, and materials throughout the facility 

• Follow all sanitation and contamination prevention protocols 

• Maintain an organized and hazard-free workspace at all times 

• Adapt to schedule changes and shifting operational needs as required

REQUIREMENTS

• Open and flexible availability — including weekends and holidays as needed 

• Willingness to adapt to shift changes with reasonable notice 

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks 

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs 

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude 

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team 

• Must comply with all facility dress code requirements: 

   — Company-issued uniform required at all times while on shift 

   — Non-slip, closed-toe shoes required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

───────────────────────────────────────── 

• Some prior experience in cannabis cultivation, horticulture, or agriculture is a plus but not required 

• Basic knowledge of plant care or grow room environments 

• Experience with de-leafing, trellising, or canopy management is an asset

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

───────────────────────────────────────── 

This position works primarily indoors in a controlled cannabis grow facility. The environment may involve exposure to plant material, cleaning chemicals, and varying humidity and temperature levels. PPE may be required in certain areas.
