Buckers and Processing Technicians at LiveHappy, LLC will play a crucial role in the cultivation and production process, with a primary focus on post-harvest bucking of cannabis plants. While the main responsibility will be post-processing, there may be occasions when assistance with other cultivation or harvest-related tasks is required. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, proven experience in cannabis post-harvest work, and the flexibility to adapt to various tasks within the cultivation and processing workflow.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform post-harvest bucking of cannabis plants by removing flowers from stalks and larger branches in accordance with company quality and production standards.
  2. Utilize shears, scissors, and other tools to efficiently and carefully separate plant material while minimizing damage to product.
  3. Inspect cannabis plants and harvested material for pests, mold, mildew, or other abnormalities during processing and report any issues to the cultivation or post-harvest supervisor.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bucking area to uphold health and safety standards and prevent contamination.
  5. Assist with other cultivation, harvest, and post-harvest tasks as needed, including but not limited to harvesting, trimming support, transplanting, and plant maintenance.
  6. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to all company policies and regulations regarding cannabis cultivation and processing.
  7. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet production goals.
  8. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to cannabis cultivation and post-harvest processing techniques.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in cannabis harvest, bucking, trimming, or other post-harvest processing is great, but not required.
  2. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency in handling plant material.
  3. Knowledge of cannabis plant anatomy and quality standards.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  6. Flexibility to perform various tasks within the cultivation and post-harvest process as needed.
  7. Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible for employment in the cannabis industry.
  8. Willingness to comply with all company policies and regulations, including passing a background check.
